In terms of overall strength, Digimons progress through evolutionary stages in the order of Baby, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega.
Of course, this is just the general rule, and some Digimon are exceptions.
For example, Lucemon. A Rookie-level Lucemon possesses power comparable to, or even surpassing, that of an average Mega-level Digimon.
Tyilinmon is another case. Despite being an Ultimate-level Digimon, it wields power on par with a Mega.
Even though Bio-Thunderbirmon is among the strongest of Ultimate-level Digimon, the gap between it and Tyilinmon remains vast. Not to mention, Bio-Thunderbirmon had already expended a considerable amount of stamina during the chase with Sora.
So, facing an unfamiliar and overwhelmingly stronger opponent in a weakened state, the outcome was inevitable.
BA-DOOOOM!
Bio-Thunderbirmon let out a miserable scream plummeting from the sky, a hundred meters in the air, only to abruptly halt when it was still three to four meters above the ground.
The inertia-generated gust slammed into the ground, kicking up a thick cloud of dust that billowed outward in all directions.
“Damn it!”
Bio-Thunderbirmon glared at Tyilinmon with seething rage, wishing to tear it apart.
Swish!
Suddenly, Tyilinmon vanished.
“What?! Where did it go?”
Bio-Thunderbirmon was taken aback, scanning its surroundings.
On the other side, despite wearing a mask that covered her eyes, Sora’s vision remained unaffected. From her vantage point, she could clearly see that Tyilinmon hadn’t disappeared—it was simply moving so fast it created the illusion of vanishing.
As expected of a powerhouse rivaling a Mega-level Digimon!
“There!” Bio-Thunderbirmon located Tyilinmon.
Although Digimons differ from real-world creatures, they are still based on them, and most possess the physical abilities of their real-world counterparts.
For instance, Bio-Thunderbirmon inherited the keen eyesight of birds, allowing it to spot Tyilinmon in an instant despite its momentary shock.
However, seeing didn’t mean it could dodge it.
Tyilinmon’s speed was superior in every aspect—both in straight-line acceleration and maneuverability.
WHAM!
Bio-Thunderbirmon could only watch as Tyilinmon’s hooves slammed into its body.
It was too slow to react—Abruptly, fear gripped Bio-Thunderbirmon.
Then, it was slammed into the ground, before the pain of what felt like its bones shattering interrupted its fear.
Now, it only wanted to escape!
It enjoyed fighting—unless faced those stronger than itself, which it hated since its goal in battle was victory.
If victory was impossible, retreat was the only option. A true warrior knows when to bend and when to rise!
‘Once I recover, I’ll wipe you all out!’
It ignored its pain and struggled to rise, preparing to take flight toward the horizon.
But as it glanced back out of the corner of its eye, its soul nearly left its body.
‘Damn it! Tyilinmon is still chasing me! One more hit and I’m dead!’
Of course, it wouldn’t truly die—only the Thunderbirmon implanted in it would perish, but losing Thunderbirmon now meant it would be utterly defenseless.
Making a snap decision, Bio-Thunderbirmon De-Digivolved, reverting to its true form—an unkempt young man named “Kouki.”
“A human?!” Tyilinmon was startled, momentarily halting its attack.
Initially, it had planned to deliver a final blow, reducing Bio-Thunderbirmon to a Digi-Egg for an easier return to the Digital World.
But to its astonishment, in the blink of an eye, Bio-Thunderbirmon had transformed into a human.
Tyilinmon could tell this wasn’t a disguise—it was a real human.
How could a human turn into a Digimon?
It didn’t know.
But as a Royal Knight, it knew that causing harm to a human would have severe consequences. Unlike Digimon, who could reincarnate as DigiEggs, humans had no such ability—once dead, they were truly gone.
“Now’s my chance!”
Kouki, seeing Tyilinmon hesitate, locked his gaze onto a manhole cover ten meters away.
‘There! As long as I reach it… No one will be able to catch me!’
He bolted toward the cover at full speed.
‘Ten meters… Eight meters… Five meters… Almost there—!’
Suddenly, a white figure descended from the sky, landing atop the manhole cover.
Eight radiant wings emitted a divine aura, while a curvaceous silhouette and alluring attire embodied the temptation of light. It was Angewomon—Sora.
Sora stood atop the manhole cover, smiling, “This place is already occupied.”
Seeing her bright smile, Kouki felt nothing but rage, “Bitch, get out of my way!”
Before letting her speak, he threw a punch.
A punch burned with a purple Digisoul.
SMACK!
Sora raised her left hand, spread her fingers, and caught Kouki’s fist.
“What!?” Kouki was dumbfounded.
Having fused with Thunderbirmon, he was essentially a cyborg. Even in human form, his physical capabilities far exceeded normal limits, and with the amplification of Digisoul, how could an ordinary Digimon block his punch?
Sora offered no explanation. While holding his fist, she swung her right hand and slapped him across the face.
With a loud smack, Kouki was sent flying, crashing ten meters away.
Sora swiftly stepped forward and pinned him underfoot.
“You…” Kouki seethed with fury.
He might be despicable, but he had no bizarre kinks. Being trampled under a high heel brought him no pleasure—only humiliation. Utter humiliation!
‘Bitch, just you wait. I’ll pay you back tenfold!’
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Sora stomped on him a few more times until he passed out.
If only he had remained a Digimon—then knocking him out would have expelled the Digimon inside him.
Tyilinmon landed from the sky, “Enough. This isn’t how an Angewomon should fight.”
Though unfamiliar with Angewomon, as a fellow Holy Digimon, it could tell Sora’s actions deviated from the typical conduct of her kind.
Sora looked at Tyilinmon, ‘What a majestic Holy Beast Digimon… Whatever. I don’t need you telling me how to fight.’
This thought flashed through her mind, though she didn’t voice it.
“Thank you for the advice. I’ll consider it.”
“…” Tyilinmon was momentarily speechless.
‘Such politeness…’
It looked at the unconscious Kouki and said, “Leave him to me.”
“No problem,” Sora stepped back.
Tyilinmon added, “You need to come with me as well.”
“Fine,” Sora nodded.
Tyilinmon was slightly surprised by her compliance.
But then again, Angewomon was a Holy Digimon—it made sense for her to be reasonable.
Tyilinmon picked up Kouki and led Sora to the park beside the gourmet street, where they regrouped with Marcus, Thomas, Yoshino, and the others.
“Another one?!”
Seeing Tyilinmon for the first time, Marcus, Thomas, and Yoshino tensed up, assuming it was an enemy.
Marcus even raised his fist, ready to strike.
“It’s me,” Tyilinmon said.
Thomas was startled, “That voice… Kudamon?”
Agumon S, Gaogamon, and Sunflowmon sniffed, “It does smell like Kudamon.”
Sora looked around, “Where’s Bio-Quetzalmon?”
“It got away,” Yoshino replied.
‘…If Nanami isn’t satisfied with her current strength, the next time we meet, Bio-Quetzalmon might have evolved into the Mega-level Bio-Lotusmon.’
The worst part?
Unlike the original, Nanami’s grudge was against her.
And while Sora could take over the souls of Vamdemon and SkullSatamon, her overall strength was still at the Ultimate level.
‘…I need to achieve Mega Evolution as soon as possible!’
