Ch 184 : Heaven-Earth Shattering Bow

With the combined efforts of all three of them, Bai Qiu’s bow was finally completed on the afternoon of the following day.

The bow itself was entirely black, but its surface was engraved with intricate silver and gold patterns.

Even the bowstring shimmered with a rich golden hue.

For the base material, Bai Qiu had used Star Iron, giving the longbow tremendous weight while greatly increasing its fundamental power and range.

The materials used to inscribe the mana circuits were Star Silver and Star Gold.

Speaking of Star Gold, Bai Qiu had actually discovered it by chance on the 55th floor of the Tower of Heaven while helping A Yan dig for ore.

As for the bowstring, it was crafted from a portion of dragon sinew extracted from the True Dragon Spine and twisted together with Elemental Silkworm Silk.

After the mana circuits were engraved, the entire surface was coated with a layer of Star Gold.

Since Star Gold possessed the properties of both Star Iron and Star Silver, it ensured both exceptional durability and outstanding mana conductivity.

The only problem was its weight.

The completed longbow weighed approximately 1,500 kilograms, and drawing the bowstring required a force exceeding 5,000 kilograms of force.

Although Bai Qiu possessed immense strength, even he was currently incapable of repeatedly drawing the bowstring for prolonged sustained fire.

Furthermore, any arrow used with the bow had to be at least C++ grade.

Otherwise, the arrow would be destroyed before it could even leave the bowstring.

Those were its drawbacks.

But what about its advantages?

Naturally, there were plenty.

A bow this heavy would launch arrows carrying equally terrifying momentum.

If a King-class monster took a direct hit from an ordinary shot, survival would be far from guaranteed.

Even transcendent creatures risked being instantly killed if they underestimated this weapon.

At last, through the collaborative efforts of Bai Qiu, Marta, and Li Zhu, the bow was completed and given the name:

Heaven-Earth Shattering Bow (B Rank)

Mana Absorption Efficiency: +150

Mana Conversion Efficiency: +150

Trait: Heaven-Shattering Earth-Shaking

When the bow is successfully activated and the bowstring is drawn to its fullest extent, the fired arrow gains the Heaven-Shattering Earth-Shaking trait.

Arrows imbued with this trait carry overwhelming force. Upon striking a target, they generate resonance vibrations that inflict additional damage.

Every Heaven-Shattering Earth-Shaking arrow embedded in an enemy’s flesh increases the strength of the resonance damage caused by subsequent arrows.

Active Skill: Resonance Detonation

After arrows bearing the Heaven-Shattering Earth-Shaking trait strike the same target ten consecutive times, the skill Resonance Detonation becomes available.

Activating the skill detonates all embedded arrows simultaneously, producing a resonance explosion that deals damage equivalent to one hundred times the accumulated resonance effect.

Cooldown: None

“All right! The only thing left now is the arrows!” Li Zhu exclaimed excitedly.

“As long as we forge arrows worthy of this bow, your weapon will be unstoppable!”

He was so excited that he failed to notice how exhausted he actually was.

Bai Qiu slowly shook his head, rejecting the idea of continuing to forge arrows immediately.

“There’s no rush for the arrows. I have other matters to attend to. I’ll come back tomorrow morning to work on them.”

He paused before adding, “My thanks to both of you. For now, please get some proper rest.”

After leaving behind a large sum of Sanctum Coins as payment for their work, Bai Qiu departed.

Once he was gone, both Li Zhu and Marta lost all motivation to continue.

The two collapsed onto the floor, leaning against each other in exhaustion.

Forging transcendent weapons consumed an enormous amount of stamina.

If Bai Qiu had not personally participated, the production time for a single transcendent weapon would likely have been more than ten times longer.

After nearly twenty straight hours of work, Bai Qiu was somehow still full of energy, while they could barely move.

Bai Qiu first went to wash up.

After finishing a simple lunch, he asked the two women,

“So? How’s the Powered Armor?”

They nodded vigorously.

The External Powered Armor had given them an unprecedented sense of security.

They no longer worried about bumps, falls, or injuries.

They didn’t have to fear being struck by Dragonfang Soldiers.

By simply swinging their giant swords, they could slice apart every enemy they encountered.

Bai Qiu patiently listened as they described their experiences.

Afterward, he went downstairs to check on the little Black Iron Worm.

Aside from having grown noticeably larger, nothing seemed unusual about it.

After playing with it for a while, he sent it back to its ore pile for an afternoon nap.

As for Zhang Shiyao, she still hadn’t returned.

She was probably off somewhere continuing to familiarize herself with her new weapon.

Since she was a sensible child who knew her limits, Bai Qiu wasn’t particularly worried about her.

He went to check on the Advanced Ecological Greenhouse and discovered that the Water Nymph Grapes were nearly ripe.

The crystal-clear grapes, as transparent as droplets of water, had taken on the natural shape of hanging water drops.

The grapevine’s roots were buried in the nutrient-rich sediment beneath the water, absorbing nourishment while expelling excess moisture through the tips of its leaves.

A misty vapor filled with spiritual energy drifted downward from above, enveloping both the Water Nymph Grapes and the entire plant in a constantly moist environment.

As the highest-grade crop in the Advanced Ecological Greenhouse, the Water Nymph Grapes were undoubtedly the most eye-catching.

Bai Qiu was also eagerly anticipating what kind of improvements the harvest would bring to both himself and A Yuan.

With nothing particularly urgent to do, Bai Qiu browsed the Trading Exchange for a while, purchasing some new seeds and miscellaneous items.

Afterward, he decided to visit the Sage and check the requirements for upgrading the Sanctuary to Level 6.

Arriving before [Sage] Onipur, Bai Qiu first exchanged for 1,000 C-rank Attribute-Free Energy Crystals, intending to bring them back for Wang Shiyun and Feng Yuling.

“Show me the requirements for upgrading to a Level 6 Sanctuary.”

The moment he spoke, a system window appeared before him.

After reading the requirements, even Bai Qiu could not help but shake his head.

Bai Qiu frowned.

This was genuinely troublesome.

Although the players of Zone 2233 were developing rapidly, they still could not meet the requirements at the moment.

Left with no better option, he returned to the seaside villa and took out the Fragment of the Mountain and River Map.

Using it, he began surveying the remote outer regions surrounding all fifty Safe Zones, hoping to discover unexpected opportunities in places few people had ever visited.

There was no point searching for King-class monsters inside the urban areas.

If he wanted to find such creatures, he would have to investigate regions located within the 2200–2250 zone range, places so remote that almost nobody had reached them.

Drawing upon his experience, Bai Qiu carefully filtered and examined countless locations.

In the end, he actually found six unusual regions.

Each of them was located along the borders of major zones, consisting of mountain ranges and wildernesses that had formed naturally auspicious lands rich in spiritual energy.

Bai Qiu decided to investigate all six locations while he still had the time.

Even if he failed to find any King-class monsters, he might still uncover valuable resources.

Of course, another possibility existed:

There could already be powerful monsters there, but Bai Qiu simply could not identify them.

The Mountain and River Map Fragment could only search for creatures whose names were recorded in the Bestiary.

For example, the Wyvern he had encountered earlier was already a completely new species.

Without knowing its official name, the Mountain and River Map Fragment had no way of retrieving information about it.
