Ch 49 : This Angel Is Giving Off Dark Energy!

“This is… chi energy!”

When in the state of chi, you’re a chi person; when in the state of dark chi, you’re a dark chi person—This was something Sora had casually said as a joke, yet to her surprise, she actually sensed chi energy.

Currently, in her Blood Queen form, after taking over the soul of Vamdemon, she should only be able to sense dark chi. Chi energy, right now, should feel like an electric shock to her, causing deep, bone-aching pain.

Yet now she could sense chi energy without harm, meaning… both sides acknowledged her?

She dispelled the Take Over magic and reverted to her Angewomon form. As expected, she could still sense dark chi.

‘A being of both holy and demonic nature!’

In a world balanced between chi and dark chi, she was like a version’s chosen one—a child of destiny—An unexpected delight.

“Bell bottoms, the 70s… how do I return to my time?”

Jade sat on a bench, sighing.

She possessed a sharpness beyond her years, but smart people often had more worries.

That morning, to avoid being late for school, she used the Rabbit Talisman to rush.

She wasn’t late—in fact, she arrived more than twenty years early!

Afterward, she tried to replicate the process to return to her time, but no matter how she ran using the Rabbit Talisman, it didn’t work.

She guessed the reason: the Rabbit Talisman lacked something it had in the morning.

Like the high-frequency laser developed by a certain Area 13 scientist.

Therein lay the problem. She presently had no means of obtaining that high-frequency laser, so even with the Rabbit Talisman, she couldn’t time travel back.

And so, she was troubled.

“Impossible!”

“I can do it!”

Not far off, a glasses-wearing boy pointed at a wall over twice his height and said to another child, “No one can climb that wall. It’s too tall.”

“I can!”

An Asian boy stepped forward, about ten years old, wearing a blue shirt and light brown pants.

Jade turned toward the voice and looked at the Asian boy.

‘Uncle Jackie?’

Though just a child, he borrowed force to double jump, reaching the top of the wall, but he lost his balance and fell. Seeing this, Jade rushed to cushion him. While it didn’t prevent the fall, at least young Jackie wasn’t hurt.

And thus, they met.

“One day, I will jump over that wall,” young Jackie said firmly.

Jade smiled. “I believe you.”

‘Not just walls—you’ll jump on trains, you’re practically a superhero!’

As they chatted, they mentioned Uncle.

A spark lit in Jade’s eyes. She laughed, ‘Of course! Uncle’s magic. I was so dumb.

Even if she couldn’t find a high-frequency laser, there was more than just tech in this world. Uncle’s chi magic could surely send her back to her own time!

She urged young Jackie to take her to his home, the future site of Uncle’s antique shop.

They pushed open the door.

Ding!

The bell rang.

“Welcome… Jackie, is this your friend?” A middle-aged man greeted them—Uncle.

But unlike the white-haired elder in Jade’s memory, this Uncle still had black hair.

“Where are the antiques?” Jade noticed a tidy shop with numerous tapes on the shelves, no familiar vases and grew curious.

Uncle was surprised. “You’re the second person to say that today. Is this really a good place for antiques? I was thinking of opening an 8-track tape store.”

“Second? Who was the first?”

“A lady who wanted to buy the place to sell antiques.”

“Huh?” Jade pondered.

Ding~

The bell rang again as four men of varying sizes stormed in—the Dark Hand Quartet.

First, Finn: 1.8 meters tall, red slicked-back hair, white suit with a pink shirt.

Second, Chow: slightly shorter, with yellow glasses, nearsighted, black suit with gray innerwear.

Third, Ratso: 1.9 meters, dopey look, black suit and white shirt.

Last, Tohru: over 2.1 meters, sumo build, broad and tall like a wall.

Seeing these familiar faces, Jade laughed awkwardly, ‘They’re not nine years old, right?’

Clearly not. They were from her own time.

They traveled through time for Jade’s talisman.

But now, their eyes landed on young Jackie.

“That’s Jackie Chan!”

“He looks so small.”

“If we get rid of him, he’ll never grow up!”

Finn, Chow, Ratso, and Tohru all darkened.

Back then, before meeting Jackie, each of them had it good—successful and well-regarded.

After meeting him? Clown roles.

Ding~

As both sides geared up for battle, the bell rang again.

Everyone turned.

Finn’s eyes lit up. “Whoa, lady, this shop’s busy. Come back another day.”

At the door, Jade stood, smiling. “It’s fine. I’m here for you.”

She was back in her Angewomon form.

“Looks like someone wants to meddle,” Finn said, smiling as he cracked his knuckles to intimidate her.

He was a gentleman, after all. He wouldn’t strike a lady unless necessary.

Whoosh!

So fast—ike a white python, something struck Finn’s neck.

It was an arm, gloved in white silk-like fabric, with little wings on the wrist—Sora’s left arm.

Finn collapsed, snoring like a baby.

“Ah?!”

Chow, Ratso, and Tohru tensed up, realizing this was no joke.

“Whoa!” Jade, Uncle, and young Jackie were amazed.

The trio sized up Sora seriously. At first glance, she looked odd—just like how they once underestimated Jackie.

But clearly, that was a mistake.

They exchanged a look and sprang into action.

Chow and Ratso flanked her; Tohru charged head-on.

“Yaaah!!!”

Sora calmly activated her power, radiating purple light.

‘Heaven’s Purple Light, Form Two—Solar Fist!’

A blinding flash, non-damaging to normal humans, but still dazzling.

Among them, Chow fared best thanks to his yellow-tinted glasses, which acted like shades.

Sora rushed at Chow first.

“Huh?” Chow flinched, readying a fighting stance.

Though no match for Jackie, he was a skilled fighter among regular people.

Thud!

A hand chop, and Chow joined Finn in dreamland.

Next was Ratso, then Tohru.

Tohru’s thick skin required a few extra hits.

Jade, Uncle, and young Jackie were dumbfounded.

“How did you glow like that, Sora?” Jade asked, remembering her name.

“Magic, of course.” Sora raised a glowing finger.

No flashlights or tricks—clearly magic.

“You’re a mage? Awesome! Listen, I’m from the future.”

“I know,” Sora smiled.

Jade blinked, delighted. “Can you send me back?”

Sora pointed to the unconscious quartet. “They came chasing you. Of course, they brought a way back. Check them.”

Sora searched them and found a crystal orb.
