Digimons have highly sensitive senses, and when Nanami evolved, the Digimon in the gourmet street sensed the surge of Digisoul from that direction.
Looking over, they saw a “meteor” hurtling toward them.
“Quetzalmon?” Angewomon, upon seeing the meteor’s true form, said, “That’s it. The one that captured me.”
Sora corrected her, “That’s Bio-Quetzalmon.”
A normal Quetzalmon is an Armor-level Digimon.
In the ancient Digital World, evolution was much more challenging for Digimon, and to gain power, they developed a method called “Digi-Armor.”
With Digi-Armor, Digimon could undergo Armor Evolution and become Armor-level Digimon aside from their regular Level.
Leaving a few exceptions, most Armor-level Digimon have power comparable to Champion-level Digimon.
And Quetzalmon should have been no different.
However, having turned into Bio-Quetzalmon, its power, and speed had vastly increased, surpassing ordinary Champion-level Digimon and ranking among the elites of the Ultimate level.
“Heaven’s Purple Light!”
This technique, which releases divine power directly, was something Sora treated like a Kamehameha. Aside from being able to shoot it in a large or small cross-shaped form, it could also be continuously released in a pillar-like shape.
A purple beam of light shot into the sky, colliding with the meteor that was Bio-Quetzalmon.
Bwoooom!
A massive explosion sent dust and debris flying, with shockwaves rippling outward, disrupting nearby electronic devices like an electromagnetic pulse.
The broadcast had to be cut off.
Bio-Quetzalmon floated unharmed in mid-air.
Heaven’s Purple Light was composed of holy power, strong against darkness and evil.
But, Bio-Quetzalmon was neither dark nor evil—its own power was also a type of holy energy.
Thus, Sora’s Heaven’s Purple Light only stopped Bio-Quetzalmon’s advance but failed to inflict any damage.
“What is that thing?”
“A…A monster!”
The vendors and customers at the gourmet street saw Bio-Quetzalmon’s massive form and turned pale with fright.
Its sheer size alone was terrifying—its head was larger than an adult human, and if one included its long, serpentine body, it was at least 40 to 50 meters long.
Such a colossal creature would inspire fear in anyone.
Goblimon shouted, “Shut up! We have our boss lady!”
Goblimon, a Digimon who lived in groups and revered strength, had long been impressed by Sora’s power. The fact that she also treated him to food made him completely devoted to her.
He already saw himself as Sora’s loyal underling.
“Can she really handle it?”
Doubt lingered among the crowd.
Sora’s form was indistinguishable from a human’s. If not for her wings, she would appear as nothing more than a tall woman, so compared to the massive Bio-Quetzalmon, she seemed far too small to inspire faith.
“Are you looking down on our boss?!”
Goblimon furiously questioned the doubters.
“…”
The people exchanged uncertain glances, unfamiliar with the power of these unusual beings.
“Can she win?” the woman anchor asked a wise Digimon—Vademon.
After all, Vademon’s massive brain suggested great intelligence.
“She will win,” Vademon affirmed.
Bio-Quetzalmon hovered in the air, ignoring the screams and discussions of the bystanders. Instead, it looked down at Sora and smiled, “You’ve grown stronger, just as I expected.”
“Mira?”
The voice of Bio-Quetzalmon was nearly identical to Mira’s.
Perhaps they shared the same voice actors.
Angewomon worried that Sora might let her friendship with Mira interfere with the battle, “She’s not Mira. She only sounds like her.”
“I know that.”
Sora bent her knees and leaped, her eight wings propelling her into the sky.
“Oh? As a former defeated opponent, instead of running away, you’re approaching me…” Bio-Quetzalmon’s eyes gleamed with amusement.
To her, it was like a mouse charging toward a cat—ridiculous, yet entertaining.
‘Come then, entertain me more! Give me more fun!’
Bio-Quetzalmon laughed and swung its long tail, its flame-shaped spear tip slashing toward Sora like lightning!
However, Sora evaded effortlessly, dodging with an almost artistic grace. In harmony, she flapped her wings, closing in on Bio-Quetzalmon’s head.
“What?!” Bio-Quetzalmon was shocked.
If the earlier Heaven’s Purple Light was within her expectations, Sora’s agility and reaction speed were downright beyond her predictions.
‘So fast! So flexible!’
In the brief moment that Bio-Quetzalmon was caught off guard, Sora had already flown above its head. She removed her mask, revealing a pair of piercing blue eyes.
“Partial Takeover: Gatomon’s Eyes!”
Cat’s Eye!
A mental shock, needle-like, pierced through Bio-Quetzalmon’s eyes and into its brain, causing a jolt of pain that paralyzed its entire body.
“Ahhhh!”
A shriek erupted from Bio-Quetzalmon.
A chance!
Sora quickly put her mask back on and pressed the attack, holy energy wrapped around her legs, strengthening them.
Her high heels stomped down fiercely onto Bio-Quetzalmon’s head.
“Impossible!” Bio-Quetzalmon regained movement but was already too late to evade.
From Kurata, she had learned that this Angewomon had the ability to transform into a “demon,” and she had been wary of that.
However, she never expected this Angewomon to have not just one special ability but also a mental attack.
“You think you can overpower me? How naive!” Bio-Quetzalmon roared, unleashing her immense physical strength to fling Sora away.
In terms of raw power, beast forms were naturally superior to humanoid forms.
Moreover, her size was more than twenty times that of Angewomon’s.
By all logic, she had the advantage!
‘I won’t lose!’
“Hyaaaah!” Quetzalmon exerted her full strength and flung Sora away.
She then charged forward, wrapping her long body around Sora.
“Get out of there! That’s how she knocked me out before!” Angewomon warned inside Sora’s mind.
Sora’s eyes flashed, “Full Takeover: Gatomon’s Soul!”
In the next moment, her wings vanished, but a long, white-furred tail with purple rings sprouted from her tailbone. The tip split into three prongs—Gatomon’s tail.
At once, her legs grew white fur, and clawed gloves covered her hands.
The result of fully receiving Gatomon’s essence—like a cat, her body became fluid and supple.
Before Bio-Quetzalmon could fully constrict her, Sora slipped through the gaps with ease.
“What?!”
Bio-Quetzalmon was astonished. No matter how talented she was, she never expected such an ability.
Just how many secrets was this Angewomon hiding?
Sora swiftly ran along Bio-Quetzalmon’s body, reaching its head. Following, she leaped and spun, her clawed fists crackling with purple electricity, enhancing their power.
“Lightning Paw!”
In an instant, she delivered thousands of rapid punches.
Each punch was as swift as lightning and as powerful as her previous kicks. While one strike couldn’t shake Bio-Quetzalmon’s massive body, a thousand combined created an overwhelming force.
“Waaaah!”
Bio-Quetzalmon shrieked, crashing into a park in the distance.
“It’s over.”
Sora dispelled her magic, returning to her Angewomon form. Her left-hand glove’s wings unfolded, transforming into a large bow. Her right hand pulled the string, forming a snow-white arrow.
“Holy Arrow!”
The arrow of light shot forth!
